February 7, 2017 is the 20th anniversary for Toque Tuesday. This year Lookout is selling toques for $10 and ball caps for $20 at most of our sites, as well as several other goodies (see list below). We will also participate in the 6th annual ball hockey tournament on Toque Tuesday, at Surrey City Hall Plaza. This is a fantastic community event where we celebrate our partnership with Pacific Community Resources Society and play some friendly ball hockey.
We are currently looking for partner locations and volunteers to help us sell more toques and raise awareness about homelessness throughout the month of February! Want to buy toques, or help sell toques, organize a group sale? Contact our Development Coordinator, Mary Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604-255-0340 ext 104 if you want to organize your own small hat sale. If you want to volunteer with toque sales please contact Janice Lovick, Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com .
With winter cold looking to stay, these hats are a simple, practical way to stay warm while helping those in need. 50% of any hat sales from Raising the Roof benefit local organizations working towards homelessness, which means your purchase of a toque or ball cap from Lookout is a direct and visible way to make a donation to our work to help the homeless. Raising the Roof is our partner organization which coordinates Toque Tuesday.
