Dr Caroline Ferris graduated from UBC in 1986 and has been certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada since 1993 and a Fellow of the College since 2003. After 20 years in full-service family practice, she began working full-time in Mental Health Substance Use. She teaches medical students, Family Practice Residents and Psychiatry Residents and holds the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the UBC Department of Family Practice.
Currently working in Primary Care and Addiction Medicine, Dr Ferris is an educator and innovator in initiatives around the harm reduction approach to addictions treatment.
