Accountability and financial transparency are part of the Lookout Housing and Health Society’s mandate. We recognize the value of every dollar and donation we receive and understand how it allows us to do much more for people who rely on us.
We have strong financial controls in place, conduct regular scheduled and unscheduled program and financial reviews throughout the year. In addition, an external auditing firm conducts our annual financial audit.
The donations of clothing, furniture and other items we receive are freely given to our clientele and others in need. Nothing is sold.
Because we demonstrate a high standard of accountability and transparency, we are trusted by many donors and funders – including BC Housing, Vancouver Coastal Health, Service Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing, Fraser Health Authority, corporate donors and the public — to deliver our critical services. We will continue to ensure that our financial books and performance reviews are completely open and attainable.
