Dean Patriquin

Dean Patriquin has been the Director of Training at the UFCW 247 Training Centre for over 7 years. He was instrumental in centralizing training regionally in New Westminster, BC. He secured the former CIBC Building in New Westminster as a heritage site and transformed it into a modern training facility. The facility provides various training programs for at-risk populations including; trades based Apprenticeship training- funded through Service Canada, over 40 different UFCW 247 Union Membership courses offered on an ongoing basis, and life skills workshops open to the general public.  Dean helped develop a team of dedicated staff who provide this training to vulnerable populations and union members, and their families. Prior to his work with the UFCW 247 Dean was a Business Agent working directly with the UFCW Union President, advocating for the rights of union members.
