Peter joined Lookout’s Board in March 2021. Peter is a Katzie First Nation community member and has lived on Barnston Island for the last fifty-five years. Peter has served seven years as an Elected First Nations Council member. Within his political portfolio he was the President of the Indigenous Language Society as well as the Manager of the Katzie First Nation Housing, Infrastructure and Municipal Services.

Peter has been in the housing construction sector for twenty-four years. He was successful in achieving his Certificate of Proficiency Linguistics at Simon Fraser University. Peter has extensive experience within the First Nations Housing Construction Management field. He passionately volunteers his time and efforts to strengthen respectful relationships, reduce homelessness, and support Indigenous and Mainstream housing and program needs. He is honoured to share his experience with the dedicated Staff, Volunteers and resilient Guests of Lookout.
